A second floor apartment in an older building in Montreal, Canada has been transformed into a contemporary dream duplex by MU Architecture Studio. The architects dreamed up the idea of ‘going up’ for the Mentana Residence to create a spacious 3 bedroom apartment with an substantial rooftop terrace.
The unique red brick facade nonetheless exists, although the addition now gives an appealing juxtaposition of a timber box atop the developing. Windows are screened with wooden louvres, contributing yet another layer of architectural splendor.
